The Tar Heel Mac Users Group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is proud to present its second annual MiLife Carolina Media Festival, which aims to celebrate college life through all of the Apple iLife applications; iMovie HD , iDVD, iPhoto, iTunes and Garage Band. The MiLife Carolina Media Festival is a presentation of original motion picture, musical and graphical presentations that represent the creative college mind. Various universities across the nation have undertaken their own iMovieFests where college students compose works mainly using Apple's iMovie application. Among the most notable institutions are Emory University, Boston College and Duke University. The Tar Heel MUG at UNC-CH has taken this idea to a whole new level by incorporating all of the iLife applications in one diverse festival that celebrates University life. MiLife Carolina is a new form of campus event like none other in that it is all inclusive to any member of the University. Its goal is similar to other events in that it puts the inspiration where it should be - in the hands of those who make this institution great. Like Emory's original Campus iMovieFest, the MiLife Festival endeavors to promote school spirit through teaching, inspiring and uniting the entire university population. For inspiration, you may want to check out Duke's iMovie festival, FroshLife. Duke has held this event for several years now and its works may give you inspiration, or at least show you how jealous Dookies are of Carolina! Check out the movies! |
